<description>BARKMEIJER SHIPYARDS has delivered the 4519 Dwt-coaster &#x22;Blue Sea&#x22; to her new owner, TRISTAR SHIPPING BV based in Kollumerzwaag, The Netherlands on Thursday, July 3rd 2008.  After the succesfull seatrial on the 3rd of July the vessel has been delivered that same day in Harlingen. Home port of the &#x22;Blue Sea&#x22; is Lemmer, The Netherlands. The vessel has already a charter by a Spanisch Charterer. The m.v. &#x26;ldquo;Blue Sea&#x26;rdquo; is the fifteenth in this successful series of 4,500 DWT general cargo vessels built by Barkmeijer Shipyards.   Main particulars of the &#x26;ldquo;Blue Sea&#x26;rdquo; are: Length over all :  89.99 m. Length between perpendiculars :  84.99 m. Breadth (mld) :  14.00 m. Depth :  7.15 m. Draught :  5.68 m. Hold capacity :  209.601 cbft Deadweight :  4500 Ton Main engine :  1800 kW Service speed :  12 Kn. The &#x26;ldquo;Blue Sea&#x26;rdquo; will be propelled by a MAK engine, type 6M25 running on gas oil, driving a controllable pitch propeller of 3000 mm. via a reduction gearbox. The hold is box shaped and equipped with two movable bulkheads.  The &#x26;ldquo;Blue Sea&#x26;rdquo; is classified by Bureau Veritas with the following notation:I X HULL X MACH general cargo ship Unrestricted navigation X AUT-UMS MON-SHAFT Heavy Cargo 105kN/m2 nonhomload 150kN/m2  (max block length 5m; minimum spacing between blocks 2m) STRENGTHBOTTOM  Furthermore provisions are made to carry certain categories of dangerous cargoes.  Barkmeijer has several dry cargo vessels for Dutch owners on order for deliveries until the beginning of 2012. <description>At BARKMEIJER SHIPYARDS, on Friday the 23rd of May 2008 at 14.30 the coaster &#x26;ldquo;Blue Sea&#x26;rdquo; has been launched successfully.  The vessel is built on account of TRISTAR SHIPPING B.V. in Kollumerzwaag, Holland. The vessel will be equipped for unrestricted navigation and transport of all kinds of dry cargoes. Furthermore, the vessel is laid out for the carriage of containers.  The naming ceremony has taken place prior to the successful launch. The ship&#x26;rsquo;s  sponsor is Mrs. Minke Willemsen, wife of one of the directors of Tristar Shipping B.V. The m.v. &#x26;ldquo;Blue Sea&#x26;rdquo; is the fifteenth in this successful series of 4,500 DWT general cargo vessels built by Barkmeijer Shipyards. Subsequently to this successful launch, the hull will be transported to Lemmer for final outfitting and commissioning. Barkmeijer Shipyards has planned the delivery for beginning July 2008. <description>On Friday the 11th of April 2008 &#x22;Saffier&#x22; has been handed over to her owner De Bock Maritiem based in Alkmaar, The Netherlands. The &#x26;ldquo;Saffier&#x26;rdquo; wil have Alkmaar as her home-port. &#x22;Saffier&#x22; is equiped for world-wide trading of numerous cargo&#x27;s as containers, dry-bulk, project cargo&#x27;s, forrest-products and windmills. Wagenborg Shipping B.V. will act as cargo brokers. De Bock Maritiem will take care of the management and operations. Main particulars of this coaster: length over all :  99,99 m. Length bpp : 94,75 m. Breadth (moulded) : 15,20 m Depth : 8,35 m. draught : 6,60 m. Deadweight : 6050 ton Hold capacity : 263.000 cu.ft Propulsion : 2720 kW max service speed : 14 knopen The vessel will be propelled by a MAN Diesel A/S, type 8L27/38 with an output of 2720 kW at 800 rpm. Driving an 3400mm propellor via the reduction gearbox. Main engine is running on HFO 380 cSt., while the auxillaries and boiler are opperating on Gasoil.   This new type of ship designed by Barkmeijer has a single and boxed-shaped hold with a length of 66 meter, which is quite unique for this type of ship. The vessel is built under Class of Bureau Veritas and has the following notation: I + HULL + MACH general cargo ship Unrestricted navigation + AUT-UMS heavy cargo, strength bottom, MON-SHAFT Heavy Cargo 15T/sq.mtr on tanktop. The &#x22;Saffier&#x22; is the second ship built for De Bock Maritiem by Barkmeijer. In June 2003 the &#x22;Smaragd&#x22; has been delivered. The &#x22;Smaragd&#x22; was the 18th and last ship out of the succesfull series of 3200 DWT-Coasters. </description>
